Artificial Plants for Airport Terminals & Concourses

Airports move millions through spaces that must look calm and stay compliant. We build large-scale terminal plantings that pass fire code and need no maintenance crews.

What this sector needs from artificial planting

  • Fire-certified greenery for public and secure areas — documented per order
  • Large feature trees for atriums and concourses, assembled on site
  • Zero maintenance across 24/7 operation — no watering, no leaf drop
  • UV-stable foliage where glazed roofs and skylights create sun load
  • Tamper-resistant, weighted bases that meet security and load specs
  • Delivery and installation sequenced to live terminal phasing

Compliance and specification notes

Public-terminal fire performance is the first gate and it is order-specific: test documentation is issued against the materials actually supplied. UV grade and base type are set at enquiry stage because retrofitting after production is not possible.

Frequently asked questions

Do airports require fire-certified artificial plants?

Yes — greenery in public circulation and hold areas is normally covered by local fire code, and many authorities ask for documentation against the actual materials. We build to NFPA 701, BS 5867 or EN 13501-1 and supply the relevant test reports with the order.

How are large trees secured in high-traffic areas?

Bases are weighted and, where the site requires, mechanically fixed to the floor slab. Load is matched to the structural allowance, and we can design the base to spread rather than concentrate weight.
